Special Kebuli Rice Recipe from Arab Saudi



One of special menu which is usually cooked in the special day such us Eid al-adha and Eid al-fitra is special kebuli rice. This delicacy is original culinary come from Middle East, especially country with Muslim people such as Saudi Arabia. Kebuli rice can be simply described as steamed rice that is served with various kind of side dishes. It is almost the same with Biryani rice which is popular in India, Thailand, or Malaysia. But, don’t ask the taste. Since, it is much delicious.

In cooking special kebuli rice, you can use goat meat or other meat as long as you love the meat. Even, by cooking this culinary in your home, you can apply your creativity there to combine all of the lovely ingredients. So, don’t only imagine this delicious meal. Special Kebuli Rice Recipe

 Kebuli Rice RecipeIngredients:

500 grams of rice
250 grams of goat meat
1 liter of milk
100 grams of raisins

Seasoning:

1 Bombay onion, grind it
1 teaspoon of salt
3 lemon leafs
3 bay leafs
3 spoon of care powder
5 cm of ginger, crushed
5 table spoon of vegetable oil
2 lemongrass
2 spoon of sugar

Complements:

Fried onion and garlic
Tomato, cut in slice
Crackers

Steps:
  1. In starting the cooking activity of special rice recipe, heat the vegetable oil by using frying pan to fry. When the oil is quite warm, put the Bombay onion until fragrant. You may also add ginger, bay leafs, lemon leaf, and lemongrass. Stir them well until fragrant.
  2. Then, you can add the goat meat that has been cut in cube 1x1 cm². Add care powder. Keep stir until they are mixed perfectly.
  3. After the mixture is done, put in the rice and repeat to stir.
  4. The next steps, you can pour the fresh milk, cook them for about 10 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients including salt and sugar.
  5. When the milk is perfectly absorbed, steam the rice for about 30 minutes.
  6. Serve the Kebuli Rice with the complement ingredients. That was the steps of making special kebuli rice from Middle East.
